This article applies to SME version 1.7 and earlier. If you are using version 1.7.1 or later, the reports are generated with a Jasper reports engine instead of a Crystal Reports engine and this article does not apply.
When attempting to view reports from the SuccessMaker Enterprise Web Universal Interface, either of the following errors occurs, depending on your client operating system and browser:
- HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
- Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer Error 80047616, an External object raised an error, no error description available
To resolve this issue:
Each time a report is generated with the SuccessMaker Enterprise Web Universal interface, the Crystal Reports engine creates a temp file on the Web Server to your Windows\Temp or Winnt\Temp folder. Remove as many temp files as possible from your Windows\Temp or Winnt\Temp folder on the server, and then try to view the reports again.
Note: HTTP 500 Internal Server Errors can also be caused by website configuration issues. If you are still unable to view reports after emptying the temp folder, contact Support for additional troubleshooting.
